Blood Banks Are Sometimes Forgotten but Always Important

January 26th, 2012

A disastrous car accident left Martin searching for a new direction in life. Before that February night when his Honda struck into a light pole, he was a regular teenager moving through life without a care. He loved video games and he preferred the company of his friends to his family.

Some of those same friends were already accepted into the colleges of their choice and they were busy planning their first semesters there. Martin had no plans for fall and was happy keeping the coach warm at his parent’s house.

The car accident left him badly injured and if it wasn’t for the blood bank, Martin wouldn’t be here today. His stay at the hospital peaked his interest in the technicians who drew blood. He was fascinated by the process and after being discharged went online to look up Phlebotomy Training. The more he read about it, the more he knew that this was the right path for him.
